Jnana Prabodhini Ganapati Procession

>> Monday, September 8, 2008

These are some of the photos of Ganapati Procession.
This all work is done under Jnana Prabodhinis Youth Wing which is known as Jnana Prabodhini Yuwak Vibhag.

Jnana Prabodhini which means 'Awakener of Real Knowledge' in Sanskrit is a social organisation. Started with the motto of "Motivating Intelligence for Social Change", its work now has grown in to multiple but integrated directions of social work.

Jnana Prabodhini now works in various fields such as education, research, rural development, health and youth organisation. It spans its presence to various locations in Maharashtra, India, such as Pune, Nigdi, Salumbre, Solapur, Harali, Ambejogai. It is also doing some works in parts of Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern states of India.

Jnana Prabodhini, which is non-political organization headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, India, aims at an all around development of Physical, Mental, Intellectual and Spiritual qualities of people in general and of the youth in particular. This development should lead to leadership development, motivation building, attitude forming, understanding problems of India and preparation for solving some of these problems as the children grow up.

Conceding the importance of the above aim, the fundamental objective of Jnana Prabodhini is to usher an era of awakening of thought and action, materially to change the face of India for the better and spark a renaissance and a new enlightenment into the spirit of our people and nation.

In 1960, Dr. V.V. Pendse, an educator, dreamed of an institute that would awaken intellectual, physical and spiritual potential in our youth and develop them into integrated individuals committed to making positive contribution to the development of their motherland. What began as an experiment for the the gifted, has now become a multi-faceted, multi-locational organization recognized at the national and international levels. Jnana Prabodhini (JP) has now grown into a movement for motivating intelligence towards social change.

Jnana Prabodhini is based on ideals of Swami Vivekananda, the great Indian philosopher and visionary, and is determined to fulfill the dream of developed India.

This novel organisation is recognised and respected in India and even at International level for its ideas and true spirit.

Just turn on your speakers put it on full vollume and listen..
